1. Why did Victor and Julia decide to transition the studio to a new owner? Victor and I (and our 2 kids) have decided to embark on a new adventure and unfortunately we cannot take the studio with us. We'll be moving to Mexico in December of 2019. This is why we were going to close at first. Then when Xena voiced her interest in taking over, it was like a gift from above. Not just to us but to all the students and the community of dancers as well. We are so happy that our 'baby' (the studio) which we founded back in 2011 will continue to live on and serve the community. We are very excited for all the upcoming changes in our lives and in the life of Salsa N' Seattle. As we get closer to our move date we'll share with you how you all can get in touch and follow us on this new adventure.
2. What will change and what will remain the same? Through October 15th most things will remain the same. We've already added a few Bachata classes and increased the number of Salsa bootcamps a month. That's all Xena's work even from before she officially took over the studio. We will make sure to notify you and keep you up to date as Xena decides to introduce new offerings, pricing, events, etc..
3. What is Xena's Background? Xena is a businesswoman, dancer, Montessori teacher, yoga instructor, and acrobat. Her passion is inspiring people of all ages to take a chance and try new activities even if they've never done it before. Xena's passion stems from her own experience as she started her yoga, acrobatics ,and dance career for the first time after the age of 40. Xena has spent much of her life being a teacher in various capacities from teaching young children to training teachers, educating adults in nutrition and food prep as well as teaching yoga. She will be bringing her experience as a teacher and trainer to the classes and teaching teams at SNS. Xena also has extensive experience in owning a business. For the last 18 years Gina has owned and operated a Montessori pre-school and now she is excited to embark on this new challenge of running a dance studio and merging the worlds of dancing, yoga, and acro into one 3. Will pricing, memberships, and class schedules change? There will be some changes to pricing and memberships coming up. First change is that we'll be bringing back the desired 10 CLASS PACKAGE!!! Yay! We'll also bring back the monthly on-going memberships. Class schedules will remain the same for now. But Xena does plan to add a variety of new class offerings and we'll make sure to communicate that to you as we start planning for those. 4. Will the studio be re-branded or will it remain branded as Salsa N' Seattle? At least through the end of the year 2019 the studio will remain branded as Salsa N' Seattle Dance Studio. There are many pros and cons to re-branding so Xena is evaluating the best option for the studio, the students, staff, and community. We will be sure to update you of any upcoming changes. 5. Can my Summer Special from 2018 be extended beyond 9/14? Since we thought the studio was closing we were vary lenient and extended a lot of summer specials from 2018 and even 2017. However, now with this exciting news, please note that as of 9/15/2019 all summer specials purchased in 2018 have expired and can no longer be extended. We hope you understand.
