2020.... I don’t want this to be another negative post/rant/statement about how much 2020 sucks. I don’t want to force blame on a year, a virus or even an election on the end of an era of something that has brought so much joy to my life and hopefully to the lives of many of you that are reading this.
Instead, the word that I'm focused on is gratitude. Gratitude for this day. Gratitude for you and the entire BODYFIT family. There are so many things to be grateful for and as I think about them, I had to put emphasis on the word tears in the subject line.
As you may know, over the last several months membership has continued to drop in addition to our limitations with spacing for group fitness and following safety protocols. While our expenses continued to increase, revenue coming in continued to decrease.
Over the last 2 pay periods we have had to invest money to be able to pay our staff.
We know several of you have paid your assessment fee and we cannot thank you enough for being so willing to help us. Many of you have continued to pay your dues without coming to classes. We were very hopeful that things would be able to turn around, but unfortunately they haven't.
We are truly heartbroken to inform you that our last day of business will be November 30th.
Our last day of group fitness classes will be Wednesday, November 25th.
If your group fitness membership is currently active we will cancel your membership. You can receive access to our fitness app with workouts and will have access to open gyms available November 27th-November 30th that will be listed on the schedule as normal. If you would like access to virtual fitness classes please email me directly and I will give you access to those.
If you are a personal training member with active sessions we ask that you work with your trainer to insure that your remaining sessions are used.
What will continue: - Virtual Personal Training via Bodyfit Fitness App - Fitness Programs via Bodyfit Fitness App - Nutrition Counseling with Bodyfit Nutrition Telehealth
Please know that this decision has been one of the hardest that I have ever had to make, but I am so grateful for each and every one of you. You are our family and I can't say thank you enough for the years of great workouts, great times and amazing support over the years.
Please reach out to myself or Lauren if you have any questions or if we can help in any way.
