September is... Nutrition MonthSeptember is Nutrition Month! Your athlete will be going through nutrition education during their weekly sessions. To get the month started, here are 4 nutritional tips that athletes can incorporate into their daily lives 1. Total Body: Carbohydrates provide a fuel source that must be refilled each day in order to train at an optimal level. Include Vegetables and/or Fruits. 2. Hydration: Time senstive proactive hydration strategy is an active part of every Athletes Annual Game Plan and preperation for success. Hydrate before practice! 3. Energy: Intaking enough calories to complete rigourous activities allows for food to be used as fuel for training and gameplay. 4. Muscle Health: Consuming protein helps rebuild muscle and create new muscle tissue creating more potential for power, speed and strength. Your athlete has been sent home a weekly meal planner along with their nutirition education sheet. Please reinforce what we are teaching by reading it with them: -Weekly Meal Planning -Grocery Shopping
October is... Athletic Performance Testing MonthWe will be holding the Performance Testing Combine event October 14th - 16th 4:00p-8:00pm. With Makeups taking place October 17th - 18th. Call to schedule now (562) 598-2600. If your program includes Management Sessions, it is MANDATORY that your schedule, as it is part of your Improvement GAME PLAN! Your results will also help your counseling coach to Game Plan your training program for the next 12 months!
