GameTime Sports and Training is Columbia, TN's premier performance training facility dedicated to improving individual performance through structured programming. For the past 6 years we have helped hundreds of athletes take their performance to the next level. If an athlete is willing to work for it, our performance based training system is the “edge” every true competitor looks for.
What We Do
Competitive cheerleading is a high intensity and explosive sport, as well as an injury prone sport. Through structured exercise programming and consistent training we can optimize cheer performance and minimize cheer related injuries. For example, the nature of the sport calls for the athletes to bend at the knees in a repetitive manner. This results in making the Quads (front of thigh) much stronger than the Hamstrings (back of thigh). These type of imbalances tend to lead to pulled muscles and/or nagging injuries (back pain, tight hamstrings, shin splints, shoulder issues, etc)
How We Do It
Every training session will be built upon the following four pillars of training.
Warm up: The athletes will be instructed through a series of dynamic movements to prepare the athlete for the upcoming training session.
Power development: Each training session we will jump, throw med balls, and sprint. These are the most powerful movements the body can do. Learning to do these well will translate to the explosive athletic nature of cheer.
Strength development: Our focus here is to strengthen the movements the athletes are asked to do during their routines, as well as target the imbalances that are associated with the sport.
Conditioning: The typical cheer routine is two and a half minutes of choreographed repetitive, explosive type movements. Thus, our conditioning will challenge the energy systems associated with the sport.
$50/Month for 8 Training Sessions/2 Per Week
Monday & Wednesday:
5:00pm-6:00pm (Ages 13-18); 6:00pm-7:00pm (Ages 9-13)
Tuesday & Thursday:
5:00pm-6:00pm (Ages 9-13); 6:00pm-7:00pm (Ages 13-18)
