Dear F45’ers, The health and well-being of members and staff is of paramount importance to F45 Cranford, so we wanted to provide an update regarding precautionary measures we’ve taken, for some peace of mind. We are carefully monitoring the information and advice released by global and local public health and government authorities regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, which is constantly evolving. We understand there are many questions and concerns and we will keep you updated as best we can. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and education are supporting pillars of F45. These values, along with your partnership, will help us stay committed to a healthy and safe environment. Dr. Paul Sax in the Time article states: “The gym is not a place that’s necessarily riskier than other communal areas.” https://time.com/5795492/gym-fitness-studio-coronavirus/ If we all do our part, together, we can keep the studio pristine for you and your teammates. Since we opened in Sept 2018, we’ve wiped down equipment and mats between training sessions and each evening, with Clear Gear which is a cleaner Effective Against 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19 virus)! Clear Gear kills 99.9% of bacteria/viruses, and is used by US Border Control, the police, and professional sports teams. For floors we've use Simple Green Pro 5 One-Step Disinfectant, which is an EPA registered, hospital grade disinfectant. We also provide: - Two wall mounted hand sanitizers for your use.
- Professional cleaning service.
- Free hand towel service for your convenience.
- Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, antibacterial sprays, soap, tissues, and paper towels.
Member Expectations/Health & Safety Plan Going Forward: - Replace high-fives with toe taps.
- Although it is not believed the coronavirus can be transmitted via sweat, all members are now required to carry a towel to each station.
- Upon arrival, all members are required to use hand sanitizer (or wash hands). Before leaving members are required to use hand sanitizer (or wash hands). During water breaks please use hand sanitizer. Please refrain from touching your face.
- More disinfectant spray bottles will be visible all around the studio, for you to wipe down equipment before and after use.
- Ask Trainer to replace mat(s) if needed.
- Replace street shoes with clean workout sneakers, to keep floors clean.
- If you are sick or feeling unwell, please stay home.
If you or anyone you are in close contact with has traveled outside of the country, or places where there has been an outbreak of the virus, please avoid coming into the studio for 14 days, and call us regarding your suspension. Please follow the guidance of the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). Their websites are at the bottom for reference. If you are returning from a Level 3 Widespread Ongoing Transmission Country (China, Iran, Italy, and South Korea), take these steps recommended by the CDC to monitor your health, and practice social distancing https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/after-travel-precautions.html: - Take your temperature with a thermometer two times a day and monitor for fever. Also watch for cough or trouble breathing.
- Stay home and avoid contact with others. Do not go to work or school for this 14-day period. Discuss your work situation with your employer before returning to work.
- Do not take public transportation, taxis, or ride-shares during the time you are practicing social distancing.
- Avoid crowded places (such as shopping centers and movie theaters) and limit your activities in public.
- Keep your distance from others (about 6 feet or 2 meters).
If you were on a cruise in the past 14 days, CDC recommends: (https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/page/covid-19-cruise-ship) - Monitor your health and limit interactions with others for 14 days after returning to the United States. If a case of COVID-19 was reported on your ship during the cruise, stay home during these 14 days and practice social distancing.
- Stay home if you feel sick with fever, cough, or have trouble breathing and call ahead before you seek medical care.
- Seek medical advice. Call ahead before going to a doctor’s office or emergency room. Tell them about your recent travel and your symptoms.
- Do not travel while sick.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing.
- Clean your hands often by washing them with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains 60%–95% alcohol. Soap and water should be used if hands are visibly dirty.
In summary, let’s focus on what we CAN control. Being healthy is one of the best ways to combat this virus. We are so proud of all the results that you have earned so far, and we will continue the 8 Week Challenge, as will the support from the Captains and fellow F45 community. We all know there’s strength in numbers, so please join us in our commitment to stay healthy and strong. We’d ask that you do your part in following these guidelines for the safety of all. Thank you for being a big part of our F45 family! Functional Regards, The F45 Cranford Team
