We want our students HEALTHY and SAFE. And we want to see them succeed and thrive in their lessons. July 13th we adjusted to announcements by our governor and we have been watching new health info regularly. Safety guidelines and considerations change often and we are working to stay current on the best practices for a healthy and safe environment for our students. We are able to meet the CDC guidelines for schools released July 23, schools should be: 1) promoting behaviors that reduce spread (e.g. social distancing, washing hands and wearing cloth face coverings),
2) maintaining healthy environments (e.g., ensuring proper ventilation, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces) 3) maintaining healthy operations (e.g., staggering schedules, keeping students in small groups), and 4) preparing for when someone gets sick (note that we are not a "school" according to county rules, we are in "educational services", but we are using these CDC guidelines as a basis to ensure we have the best safety in place we can) We feel that we have met this criteria with our current sanitation, scheduling, and similar policies. We also are fully prepared to offer students lessons via Zoom or similar video platforms either short term (in case of symptoms of illness) or longer (if you are more comfortable learning from home to eliminate other exposure risks). Therefore, we are waiting one last to watch for any more new announcements including CDC and local authorities, but if no new risk factors are developing we are planning for a RE-REOPENING on August 10th. If you have moved to outdoor lessons in the morning, you can return to your previously scheduled afternoon appointment indoors. If you would like to request continuing outdoor lessons in the morning (mornings are selected due to the possibility of high heat) people let us know and we will do our best to accommodate that request, based on the demand. We will continue all of our prior safety protocols including one way traffic, non-contact plans, masks, sanitized piano keys, and many other steps. If you have ANY questions about our procedures feel free to ask. So in careful accordance with guidelines for educational services, we are RE RE OPENING on August 10th, a few days before Elk Grove begins Distance Learning for most students. If you choose to remain doing lessons on Zoom, no problem. The choice is yours. We look forward to serving you as best we can, according to the needs of your family.

PS Watch for upcoming announcements for a special registration event on Aug 11th, right after our re-reopen, which is a great time for new students to jump in and get a great deal on their August lessons. Returning students, make sure to contact us as soon as possible before spots are filled! Thanks |
