Dear students, parents and teachers, I hope that everyone is safe and well! The pandemic is stressful, so consistency and structure are calming during times of stress. Continuing with music lessons has therapeutic and academic benefits! I thought it was important to share with you a little bit of science behind music as an art form. National Association for Music Education (NAfME), among the world’s largest arts education organizations, is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. The left side of the brain is better developed with music, and songs can help imprint information on young minds. 🎹 Better self-confidence: With encouragement from teachers and parents, students playing a musical instrument can build pride and confidence. Musical education is also likely to develop better communication for students. 🎻Better SAT scores: Students who have experience with music performance or appreciation score higher on the SAT.
