I would love to tell you how wonderful 2020 was. Who am I kidding? It was rough! However, we made it through! We haven't had to permanently close our doors like many small businesses have this year. We have learned to adapt and grow despite the challenges that 2020 brought to the table. From more frequent cleaning, to virtual personal training and classes, some of these new additions will stay with us long after COVID is gone Through it all, we still have the most wonderful members and guests. I know many of you are still working from home, or steering clear of public places for a bit longer. We will be here with our doors OPEN when you are ready to return! Come back soon because we miss you! MASKS There has still been a great deal of confusion and "passion" over our mask policy. Masks are required. You must have one to enter and we do prefer you keep in on. There are a few exclusions. Obviously, if you are in the pool, hot tub, steam room or shower, you do not need to wear your mask. If you are actively exercising AND at least six feet from any other patron, you may temporarily lower your mask to breathe. This doesn't mean you can leave your mask in your locker. If you are resting between sets, changing in the locker room, or walking across the room to another machine, you are not "actively exercising". Actively Exercising means you are using a treadmill, lifting weights, doing squat jumps or something that increases your breathing to a point that you may need to temporarily lower your mask. What it boils down to is this. If you are within 6 feet of another person, wear your mask. Please remember that we as a staff did not make the mandate, but we are doing our best to uphold those rules and keep our doors open for you. Yelling at a front desk agent won't change anything. We understand your frustration. We really do. We understand that some people want to see everyone wearing a mask all the time, and others don't want to put one on at all. Please be respectful to each other and to the staff. Like our button at the desk says, "You're in Boise. Be Nice!" COVID CLEANING We continue to wipe down all of our high touch surfaces 6-8 times per day. We still advise wiping down equipment before and after using it as an extra safeguard. Hand sanitizer is available near the cardio, at the front desk and in the Class Studio. There are six sanitation stations located in the gym for wiping down equipment. We continue to apply PreventX, a 90-day antimicrobial solution to all possible surfaces. Disposable gloves are available at the front desk if you would like to use them.
ANNUAL FEE It is almost time for our annual new equipment fee. The minimal $40 fee will be drafted on 1/15/2021. Last year we added new yoga mats, two more sets of kettlebells, a hex bar, tricep rope, curl bar, a soft jump block and a few other goodies. What would YOU like to have us purchase in 2021? I think the second most requested big ticket item last year was another elliptical. Another hot item right now are the Curve Treadmills! Let me know which equipment will give you the edge on fitness 2021! SPECIALS The gift that gifts you back! We sell gift certificates year round, but for the rest of December, purchase a gift certificate for someone and we will give you 25% off your next spa service! If you are ready to return to the gym at this time, we are offering our 2012 CHARTER MEMBERSHIP for the rest of 2020. $336 pays for an entire year! I can't thank you all enough for being part of the Grove Fitness Club & Spa family. Your loyalty and kindness means the world to me. Here's to a happy, HEALTHY 2021 with vaccines for all!
