Intro to Music Program
You’ve been thinking about putting your child into music lessons, but you keep putting it on the back burner.
I get it.
Committing to weekly lessons and buying an instrument is hard when you don’t even know if music is your child’s “thing”.
They say they want music lessons, but you know how kids can be.
They can’t decide which instrument they want to learn…or they want to learn them ALL!
Will they enjoy music lessons?
Will they be successful?
We understand your hesitations and we’ve created a special class for families who are still on the fence about music lessons.
Allow me to introduce our new Intro to Music Class!
This class is a great way to let your child (ages 7+) experience music, discover which instrument they love, and to check out how we do things at Daytona Beach Music Academy.
- 5 x 45min lessons with a small group of new friends
- Your very own intro to music workbook
- Free membership to our 'All Access' video library to support you with additional learning from home
- Rock band week, where you'll get to experience rocking out in a band and doing a rockstar photoshoot
Every Student also completes the course with:
- An 'Intro to Music Certificate' and graduation photo
- A 'Daytona Beach Music Academy' Wristband
- A video of themselves performing with the class
- Photos from their Rockstar photoshoot

FAQs
What ages is Intro to Music for?
This class is open to kids ages 7+. If you have a child younger than that, check out our Music Foundations Program (4-6 years old)!
What will my child learn?
Your child will learn to choose & play 1 popular song on the guitar, piano, ukulele, bass and drums. During the final lesson, they’ll play the song together in their very own ROCK BAND!
They’ll learn the basics of all of the instruments: the anatomy of each instrument, proper posture, how to play a few basic chords, and rhythm.
How many kids are in the class?
No more than 6 kids total in each class.
What days and times are the classes?
Our first class will be Thursdays at 5:00pm. But if you need another day/time, PLEASE sign up anyways. We are more than happy to open more days/times to accommodate your schedule!
Can I sit in on the classes?
We have a waiting room where parents can wait if they want to. We prefer parents not to sit in on the class as your child probably won’t relax if you’re in the room with them. Parents are invited in during the last week of class to showcase what they learned!
What happens if we need to miss a class?
We understand that you’re busy and sometimes life just happens. We encourage that you attend as many of the 5 weeks that you can.
However, if you need to miss a class, you can join one of our other group classes (per availability) for an instrument we covered that week.
This won’t be exactly the same because they won’t be with their same group of friends, but they will learn the basics of that instrument that week!
Where are lessons held?
Our lessons are held at our school at 227 2nd St in Holly Hill.
We’re 1 light North of Mason & McDonalds on US1 (Ridgewood), right on the corner at the end of the strip mall.
What happens after the 5 weeks?
What do you want to happen?!
This class is a way for you to try music lessons without a long-term commitment, so we won’t be pressuring you to jump right into weekly lessons if you aren’t interested in that!
But if you ARE interested in continuing lessons with us, your child can start weekly group lessons which are $120/month or private lessons (by referral) which are 151/month.
When do classes start?
We are launching our first class on Thursday, January 11th, 2024. If you're ready to start right away with 1 instrument, you can book a preview class for only $15. Enrollment is ongoing.
