Massage Solutions of Bend was born from over 25 years of building a foundation that cultivates a personal relationship between our massage therapists and clients. In the past we have primarily hired only “Veteran” therapist who can partner with your personal self –care goals and offer you a truly customized, result driven experience on your journey towards a life of balance, function and overall well-being.
Our practitioners continue the tradition offering award winning services and are key to our long lasting relationships. That being said, everything in life has a season. Massage therapists in general have a shorter season than many other careers, in fact according to the AMTA stats over 50% of massage therapist also work in another profession, 82% started practicing as a second career, with a median age 46 years old, and with careers lasting an average of only 7 years! As a business that sets high standards for service, finding and more over KEEPING therapists for more than 3 years has proven difficult mainly due to these industry standards. We understand massage therapy is personal and intimate in nature. Often clients will bond to one particular therapist and is why when one of our primary therapists leaves; it is difficult on both client and therapist, saying goodbye is never easy, but in this industry it's the nature of the beast! As we continue to grow, we would love to hear your feedback on what is most important to you, when replacing an associate therapist? 1. Do we continue with our current hiring practices and seek only those veteran therapists who have similar skills, education and experience, but who will likely be leaving within 1-3 years, or 2.
