In this 2 hour workshop, we will help you understand the mechanics and leverage of arm balances and teach you how to do arm balances with greater mindfulness and ease. Open to all levels.

Backbends have an amazing uplifting affect on us mentally, physically and emotionally and are powerful energy enhancers which promote instant vitality and well-being. New levels of energetic freedom and openness are available when a fuller range of motion in the spine is accessed, and the heart is opened.

In this 2 hour workshop, we will examine techniques for practicing backbends in a safe and effective way. We will also examine how to effectively align the body and breath in order to practice with minimal discomfort and maximum awareness. Open to intermediate practitioners who want to advance in their backbend practice.

New to Aerial Yoga? Join is for a 4 week beginner series with Andrea Powers. Aerial Yoga takes your traditional yoga practice off the ground and into a hammock that is made from a soft fabric strong enough to support your body weight (and then some). The hammock is a wonderful tool to teach students how to align their bodies within a variety of yoga postures as well as experiencing inversions without any compression on the spine.

Students will learn basic aerial poses all while developing upper body strength, control, flexibility, core strength and grace. The Aerial hammock will support you as you stretch, decompress your spine, and enjoy simple conditioning exercises. No previous experience necessary. Space is limited to 12 students.

Mostly done on the floor, Yin targets our deepest tissues of the body; our connective tissues, ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body, rather than the muscles. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes with the goal being to safely and therapeutically stretch, stimulate and strengthen these deeper tissues. On an energetic level the practice allows chi/prana to move more fluidly through our meridians. Yin is calming and restoring to the nervous system, and enables you to heal yourself and find a deeper sense of stillness in your body and mind.

The inverted postures of yoga are some of the most beneficial yet intimidating of the asanas. This workshop is designed for students who would like to gain confidence in inversions.

In this 2 hour workshop, you will be given in-depth instruction and guidance on alignment, technique, and how to properly engage the bandhas in inverted poses. Students will work at their own individual pace in a way that will dissolve fear and create a hopeful and playful space. Open to all level practitioners.
