Below are FAQs about the Masterclass

What is a masterclass?

A masterclass is a session where a guest, who is an expert in the field, teaches a group of students. A few students get to play their solo, polished piece and the guest teacher addresses the student and the audience (other students, teachers, parents, etc) with discussions that involve technical issues, interpretation, etc. related to the student’s performance which are also topics that benefit and are relevant to the audience.

Who can join the masterclass?

All students, parents, and teachers! Selected students will play a polished piece and everyone else can be part of the audience and learn from the discussions.

  • Student performers: Limited spots only. Your teachers will advise you if you have a polished piece ready to play at the masterclass. Performers should confirm participation by April 1st
  • Auditors: Anyone who wants to observe and learn from the class
