Summer Teacher Training at Radiant Life Yoga starts May 9th.

 

We are 5 weeks away from the start of Summer Teacher Training.  

The summer program is great opportunity to deepen your practice, get precise with alignment, learn the science of breath, and how changing the breath changes everything. 

 

We spend a lot of time outside practicing in nature, as well as having the opportunity to be introduced to local medicinal plants.

 

Our program is Self Transformational.  You identify your values and then align with them using the practice to support your intention.

 

1. Postures, alignment, modification and adjustment

2. Pranayama, breath control

3. Hatha Yoga foundations, Shatkarmas, Bandhas and Mudras

4. Raja Yoga, the 8 Limbs, Meditation and Samadhi

5. Nutrition and Herbs: Explored experientially

6. Ethics of teaching Yoga

7. The Yoga of Business.

8. Cleansing and Purifications

9. Philosophy and Sanskrit


We are registered with Yoga Alliance and so upon completion of our program you are eligible to register as a 200RYT (200 hour registered yoga teacher) Through Yoga Alliance.

You will also be prepared to teach yoga, and provide modifications to make the class safe and accessible to any students.

 

Tuition is $2900, But We offering a discount  $400 until April 14th

Overview

This training will bring you to an entirely new level physically and in the way you conceive of your self.  These practices will wake you up to embody your full potential.  You are invited to look at every aspect of your life to see what’s aligned with your purpose, and shed the rest.  Our goal is a vital body and clear mind so that you can express your highest purpose in this life.

 

We start Tuesday May 9th at 6:00pm and run Through August 6th. All classes will be held at our uptown studio:  

2657 Dupont Avenue South Minneapolis, MN 55408 or virtual.


Schedule:

Tuesdays 6:00-9:00pm 

Saturdays 10:30-2:30pm 

Sundays 10:30-2:30pm 

 

First Night

Our first Tuesday night together is orientation. We pass out your manuals, go over the syllabus, and talk about the outline for the course. Bring your yoga mat, a pen and comfortable clothing. The first hour we do a practice.

During the course we will be reading the following books.

 

1. Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda  

2. Hatha Yoga Pradipika with commentary by Swami Muktibodhananda

3. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: Commentary on the Raja Yoga Sutras by Sri Swami Satchidananda
4. Yoga Anatomy Second Edition by Leslie Kaminoff

5. The Key Muscles of Yoga by Ray Long

6. Loving What Is by Byron Katie


Unlimited Yoga

As part of the training you receive unlimited yoga classes. This is a chance to experientially learn the alignment in your body, as well as see how the principles of teaching are used by different instructors. We require 40 classes as part of the training.
