Acupuncture
Acupuncture is best known for its ability to successfully treat pain and its causes. In Chinese medicine, we view pain as an obstruction of qi energy and blood in meridian energy paths due to injury, muscular tension, inflammation, sprains, or pathogenic invasions of cold and damp. Acupuncture alleviates pain by raising endorphin levels and diminishing the nervous system’s sympathetic response. Check out our acupuncturists’ bios to find out more about what they have to offer.

Do the acupuncture needles hurt? The needles themselves are extremely thin. Thin enough so that they’re barely felt when inserted. It’s about the equivalent level of sensation to tugging a hair on your arm. There may be a slight warm or radiating feeling as Qi energy is redirected, but it is very minor and is often a nice sensation. The acupuncturists will walk you through the whole process and make sure you’re comfortable before you begin.
