Beginning April 1, 2018 we will be making a few small changes here at Soma: 1. Reflexology will now be considered an "upgrade" and will cost an additional $5 to add-on to any massage. Because this modality is so labor intensive and puts an extra strain on the wrists and thumbs, we feel that our therapists should be compensated accordingly. You can still request a good foot massage, or extra time on your feet during your appointment for no additional charge! -- but adding reflexology will incur this extra fee. (For those of you who have received reflexology, though, you know that this is well worth it!) 2. Our 24-hour cancellation fee will increase to 100%. Currently our cancellation fee is only 50% of the full cost of the session, but in keeping with industry standards and wanting to honor our therapists' time (especially since we operate "by appointment only"), we will increase our cancellation fee to the full cost of the massage beginning April 1. When people cancel last minute or are a "no-show", it's unfair to everyone: the therapist AND the potential last-minute client who calls in extreme pain, but is sent away because it appears that we're fully booked for the day. If we can get that appointment rebooked with short notice (less than 24 hours), then you're off the hook! If it remains unbooked, however, then you will be charged the full cost. And of course, any cancellations or changes made more than 24 hours in advance will not require a cancellation fee.
