Hello Champs -

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of us, our families, and our community significantly 
and immeasurably. Unfortunately, Supreme Team Boxing Gym has also not been immune to 
these effects. 

I am writing to you today, to ask for your support to keep Supreme Team Boxing Gym—a staple
boxing gym in Queens—in business, so that we do not befall the unfortunate fate of so many 
businesses that are shuttering their doors in New York City. 

With your donation, we will continue to serve all New Yorkers, including young talent, neighbors 
learning to defend themselves, seniors looking to stay physically and mentally sharp, and our 
members all across New York City. Your donation will also help us continue the rich legacy of 
boxing in Queens (we’re located right by the former Sunnyside Garden Boxing Arena, which 
once hosted legends like Muhammad Ali, Floyd Patterson, and other all-time greats). 

Before the pandemic, Supreme Team Boxing also created a nonprofit arm, providing a blend of 
services to our neighbors and community members. These services include: a comprehensive 
after school program focused on academics and empowerment through boxing; an internship 
and workforce development program for young adults; and a subsidized boxing program for 
young adults currently residing in homeless shelters. 

As we have seen increases in violence and lack of job opportunities, your donation will add life 
to these programs and provide the services that are desperately needed in these trying times. 
Your funding will also allow us to strengthen the ecosystem that will continue to keep our 
community safe and vibrant. 

We know that everyone is impacted in some way by this pandemic. Some of you have lost jobs 
or had reductions in income. For those of you who continue to have the means, please consider
making a contribution. There is no amount too small to show your support. Any donation will go 
directly towards easing some of the burden of our August and September rent. 

If we are able to raise at least $500, GoFundMe will give us a $500 matching grant which is a 
big win in my book. That may not sound like much but anything helps! So, thank you GoFundMe
and a huge thank you to anyone who donates. We do not wish for you to go empty handed, so

By far the greatest support so far to Supreme Team Boxing has been our loyal members who 
love and support us so much. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all the members that 
have kept their memberships going in hopes of keeping our gym alive. We also want to send 
our love to all the members who had to cancel because of financial hardship. We want you to 
know we totally understand and still appreciate you so very much. We are hopeful that we may be able to reopen sometime in the near future, however that is still to be determined by state 
and local officials.
