Our primary goal has always been and continues to be your well-being. We strive to be your go-to retreat where you can recharge, unwind, relieve stress and be beautifully taken care of. It's so important to stay healthy -  to take care of your body, mind and spirit.

While we felt we had to close our office this past week our thoughts were that we would be able to re-open at the beginning of April. Now we are not so sure... We will be monitoring the situation closely and will keep you updated along the way. Please consider all of your upcoming appointments canceled until you hear otherwise from us. We miss you already! 

A few tips you may not already be incorporating into your routine. 

1. Keep your immune system strong by eating healthy (lots of fruits, veggies and proteins,) getting enough sleep and staying active with regular exercise which increases both oxygen & immune function in your body. Keep in mind that overly strenuous exercise has the opposite effect so don't overdo it. 
   
2. Be proactive: Use natural immune boosters to keep your immune system optimized. Daily use of nutritional supplements (vitamins, minerals, antioxidants) can significantly enhance the immune system. Consider: Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Green tea extract, Curcumin, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Echinacea, Astragalus, AHCC. Although it sounds counterintuitive, it's recommended to not use Elderberry right now since it can increase the "cytokine storm" associated with severe cases. 
3. Probiotics promote a healthy immune system. Beneficial bacteria in your intestinal tract are responsible for as much as 60-70% of your immune system function. Consider incorporating or increasing daily probiotics such as supplements, yogurt, fermented foods & drinks.
4. Find ways to reduce stress: meditation, relaxing walks, stretching, breaks from the media etc. Stress compromises your immune system.
5. Keep a supply of natural antipathogens on hand and begin taking them intensively at the first sign of symptoms or if you believe you have been in contact with an infected person. This can help support your body's ability to hold the viral load down low enough so that you never develop severe symptoms. Consider: Oregano oil.

Last, even though we are closing for a short time we realize that Covid-19 is most likely here to stay for a while. Here at TLC we will do everything to help you safely continue your journey with us when we re-open. We hope to see you soon!
