Learn to play the bass cello, viola or violin. Learn correct techniques using left hand placement and developing good tones to become better musician with our skilled instructor. With your teacher you will also learn to develop pitch recognition, improvisation, learn to read music notation and gain knowledge in music theory.

Our piano classes focuses on technique and mastering the keyboard to become proficient player.  Whether you want to learn the latest pop tunes, contemporary Christian, samba, jazz  or classical music we have the teacher for you. Teachers work with students to develop their ear, improve their agility, learn chords, scales, arpeggios and become a confident pianist. We offer two student showcases a year for all instruments and up to nine performance classes so students can gain experience sharing their love of music with others.

Whether it is blues, rock, flamenco, fingerstyle, r&b or country, we can get you started.  It does not matter if you desire to play the acoustic or the electric guitar our awesome staff is knowledgeable to get you grooving in no time soon.  Spend time with your instructor once a week for instruction in not only how to play but also learn needed techniques.  You will be taught how to structure your music, read tab, read lead sheets, read real music if it caters to your style and learn theory on your guitar that will help make you a more balance player. You will be given practice plans to ensure that you reach your goals. Lesssons are available in person and online.

Student will need a guitar, picks (amp if electric) to practice on at home.  We supply amp and other gear during the lesson.

One of the questions we have been asked many times is do we teach adults.  The answer is YES! Many adult inquires are from men and women who always wanted to take lessons but for some reason lessons were always on the back burner.  Others inquires are from folks who took lessons as a child or teen but want to rekindle their love of learning an instrument.  Whatever your reason or desire, we want to help you succeed and spark your joy to learn. 

Lessons for adults students are structured differently that they would be for younger children. We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach. A seven year old having their first lessons will have very different needs than a fifty-seven year old taking up an instrument for the 2nd time after having lessons as a child. The main reason to choose Virtus Music School as your music provider, is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual. If you enroll here for lessons we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. 

At the first lesson your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have. Be ready for some engaging yet fun and meaningful lessons with your teacher.
