  • Personal Training offers a one-on-one or small group (2-4 persons) workout session with a trainer. Your trainer will assist you in developing a comprehensive personal fitness program. Whether you are just starting an exercise program or looking for some variety in your existing program, your Personal Trainer will help you reach your goals. Learn the different weight training and cardiovascular equipment and receive personal instruction on exercise technique. Personal Trainers offer in-depth education and motivation needed to guide you towards lifetime fitness.

    Darrell Watkins, X5 Sports Lab owner, has worked in the personal training industry over 17 years.  He has been self-employed for 15 of his 17 years in the fitness industry.  Darrell built a high profile clientele including professional athletes & entertainers, prominent medical professionals, T.V. personalities, corporate owners and senior executives.   Darrell is a former athlete at Colorado State University, participating in both football and track.  He also spent 3 years training with the Denver Broncos.  His collegiate and professional experiences formed his drive and passion for fitness.  Personal Highlights:  helping athletes earn collegiate scholarships, weight loss transformations, improving the quality of life for those with physical challenges and more…  Darrell provides his clients with Personal Training, Small Group Training, Speed, Agility & Strength Training for Kids and Indoor/Outdoor Boot Camps in Johns Creek.  “Following the 5 components of fitness guarantees results; Strength, Cardiovascular, Flexibility, Nutrition and Testing, explains Darrell.”

    X5 Sports Lab’s Youth Sports Performance: Speed & Agility, Strength & Power, 1st Step Quickness, Speed Endurance and Proper Sports Nutrition are included in our program.  Professional instruction is provided from former collegiate and professional athletes. Our Youth Sports Performance program is designed to take youth athletes, of ALL SPORTS, to the next level.

    What are Speed and Agility?

    The term “speed” refers to how quickly you can move, measured by how much time it takes to travel a specific distance. The more distance you can cover in a given period of time, the greater your ability to generate speed. “Agility,” refers to the ability to start, accelerate, stop or change direction quickly. Agility provides the foundation for many athletic skills like jumping, juking, rolling and dribbling.

     

    Why Speed and Agility Training is Important:  

    For those who play sports like football, basketball, lacrosse, tennis or soccer, speed and agility training provides the baseline athleticism necessary to refine their sport-specific skills. But speed and agility training is not exclusively for sport-specific athletes. People of all fitness levels can develop their functional strength, increase core stability and improve the way they move with speed and agility training.

     

     
  • Our H.E.A.T. (High Energy Athletic Training) program is athletic based personal training in a small group and is more than just a great workout. It is a fun and creative solution for ALL walks of life. Our program patrons include corporate executives, current and former athletes, young aspiring athletes and stay-at-home moms alike.     X5 Sports Lab’s H.E.A.T. Program utilizes a unique programming style that allows ALL fitness levels to co-exist without fear of being left behind or being slowed down. By combining strength and sports style of training guarantees an intense program while offering ALL fitness levels opportunity for success. Our Small Group Training Program goal is to push each individual beyond his/her own capacity and comfort zone; a short point beyond where you would push yourself.

    ACADEMY TENNIS SPEED & AGILITY TRAINING

    Tennis agility drills deals with the movement, coordination and reaction speed for tennis. Performing a tennis agility drill on a regular basis can improve a player’s tennis fitness and endurance on the court.  Tennis agility drills involve the player’s fitness and movement around the court.Speed & Agility - Sports Performance Training

    Top players are also exceptional athletes in today modern tennis game.  Any tennis training program will include at least one component of a tennis agility drill to not only improve a player’s balance but their explosion and quickness around the tennis court.

    Often times, the tennis fitness aspect of the game is overlooked by club players worldwide.This is a shame, because a player that is in good physical shape can outlast a player who has not yet included tennis agility drills into their training regimen. For any good player, tennis agility drills are a big part of their fitness element.

    This program is for Academy Tennis Players ages 10 and up.

I have had many personal trainers but Darrell is the BEST. I have been attending the Boot Camp class for almost 2 years now. Although this is a group workout Darrell still gives the individual attention you need to get real results. My previous one-on-one training, with other trainers, was NEVER this intense or produced more results than training with X5 Sports Lab’s Small Group Training Program. I am leaner, stronger, and more knowledable about my personal training and nutrition because of X5 Sports Lab.
