...a consistent yoga practice can be achieved in just 5 minutes a day!

 

Hi !

 

This is the topic I find myself talking about the most as a yoga teacher.

 

We all come to yoga for different reasons, but the common denominator is that, for many of us, we practice yoga because we love how we feel afterwards.

 

I used to stress myself out looking at my calendar and trying to figure out how I could be consistent in my yoga practice and this generally included finding schedules from lots of different yoga studios and dropping those class times in my calendar.  There was just one problem with doing that: I didn't always factor in travel time -- like, seriously, did I really want to drive another 25 minutes for a 90-minute yoga class after having commuted for an hour home from work?

It completely changed my outlook when my mentor, Francie, said just get on the mat every day -- even if it's just doing your favorite asanas for five minutes or doing a few Sun Salutations.  

 

It took me a while to fully understand this for myself but once it clicked, everything changed. Consistency is the key! I don’t think I’ll ever stop talking about this because it’s something I really believe in.  


As we emerge from winter and Covid restrictions, we still have online classes available so that you can practice from the comfort of your home in addition to studio classes at Positions Dance Studio and our new Yoga in the Park series starting in April.
