This month at Yoga with Cyndy, we have been focusing on finding a balance between ease and effort. On the yoga mat, we can oftentimes notice when we are putting so much effort into a posture that it can be uncomfortable. Usually, we are holding our breath or maybe even feeling that pinch of physical pain. It is at that moment when we should ease out of the posture a bit and rediscover our breath to bring ease into a posture -- even the difficult ones! But what about off the mat? Many times we ignore the signs that we are not bringing ease into a situation or we let our minds take over with negative chatter. My coach, Ryan, introduced me to this wonderful technique called The Sedona Method two years ago and it really helped me to release many of my limiting thoughts and is my go-to when I find things getting out of balance for me.
