Hi ! As much as I am a self-proclaimed beach girl, I gotta admit something.... I love this time of year! As the weather starts to turn just a bit cooler, I actually like slipping into a comfy sweats and watching football or taking out all my painting supplies. It's also the time of year I find myself returning to the hot yoga room for the classic 26 + 2 hot yoga sequence which introduced me to yoga 20 years ago. Going back to where my yoga journey first started is both a return to the famliar and comfortable, but also gives me the opportunity to learn something new or even re-learn something I may have forgotten. It's my hope that some of my October events will offer the same experience for you! This month you will be seeing a few new class offerings and a few new names on the schedule incluidng Yin Yoga with Amy and Absolute Begnniners/Gentle Yoga with Rosalie. For those of you who would like a little bit more "pop" in their yoga flow, be sure to check out Danielle's open level classes. I know you will enjoy their classes ~ they are very excited to be a part of our yoga family. Don't forget that this month we have our first Book Club meeting which will include a live practice in-studio followed by dinner and discussion and our Halloween Glow in the Dark Yoga class! No costumes are required, but do wear white or neon clothing! October is also Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As many of you know, my sister-in-law, Donna, passed away in 2020 after a ten-year battle with metatstic breast cancer and I will be teaching a class to benefit WeCare on October 17. Registration is now open for my six-week Masterclass on how yoga can help survivors of abusive relationships heal from the trauma cause by these relationships. If you or anyone you know is suffering from PTSD or C-PTSD, please know that help is available. And as always, you can join me online or in the studio at Positions Dance Studio. I hope you'll join me! See you on the mat! ~Cyndy |
